How to Install chirp software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

chirp software package provides Configuration tool for amateur radios, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install chirp 

chirp is installed in your system.

Make ensure the chirp package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep chirp *

You will get with chirp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
